After a long winter break, the 1/8 nitro buggy season started with the first ever Danish indoor race.
The Varde RC club in the western part of Denmark organized the race. The indoor track was in a good condition and perfect for a great race with 38 buggy drivers, among them several Danish top drivers. New to this class was Jonas Karup, former European Champion in electric touring.

| I was very excited and received the car a few weeks before the race but with no opportunity to practice before the race. On Sunday morning practice the car worked perfectly and was well balanced on the great jumps. |

| After qualifying heats (and some mistakes) I was in 7th place and went directly into the semi-final. TQ went to Jonas Karup. |

In my semi the engine was a bit rich, but I did manage to run in 5th place and further progress to the A main.
I started in 7th place in the 45min final, but after a really unlucky start I was in the last place and was more than a lap behind the lead cars. In the 45 minute long final, I brought myself up through the field and finished in 4th place. I had success in running up nearly a lap on the lead cars and made the fastest lap during the entire race. The top 4 results were within 20 seconds and a better fuel strategy could have put me into top 3, but it was still a decent result for my first race and without any practice. |

| The XRAY XB808 spec 2010 car felt really good and worked perfectly all day long. Iâ™m really looking forward to the 2010 season with a strong combination of XRAY, Novarossi, Byron, Savöx and Proline/HB tires. |
